Cup #2: Spitward

It had been a few weeks since I drew my first cup. When I first did it, I hid it beside my co-workers computer monitor so that the face was peeking around the corner. I decided to do the same with this one, and in haste I drew this pretty goofy face. It kind of reminds me of Squidward from SpongeBob, so I'll call him Spitward (you know, because I drank out of it).

Spitward is an energetic, youthful, harmless fellow who enjoys wandering around and making conversation with complete strangers. These conversations typically involve lollipops and squirt guns, as Spitward loves to reminisce about the simpler days of his childhood--the days before his mother left his father for a thermos and Spitward had to move in with his grandmother because his grief-stricken father turned to booze and started working at beer pong and flippy cup tournaments just to get a fix. Those were hard times, and Spitward does his best to stay positive and focus on the more joyous things in life.
